a fan of limitations, the maghreban took multi samples from his casio mt-70 keyboard and used only them to make this ep whilst on holiday in north wales last year. most of the tracks were made whilst staying at portmeirion, the strange resort where *the prisoner* was filmed in the late 60s. the maghreban is a fan. the result is more mechanical than previous excursions, dictated by the entirely synthetic source material. no dusty vinyl samples this time. more techno. very early support from ben ufo and lefto.

the maghreban is new to house music, and doesnt really listen to house music, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. he has worked extensively in other genres under other names. looking at house from these sideways perspectives perhaps gives him an interesting angle on it. this second release sees the maghreban expand his sonic palette somewhat, taking in some african sounds but also continuing along the vintage theme of his first 12 inch. radio play from benji b (bbcr1), thristian (nts), support from ben ufo (rinse/hessle), brian not brian (going good/kristina records), gatto fritto (international feel), sasa (in flagranti, nts), leri ahel (mutant disco).

up first on okno is the restless naples producer, nplgnn. after vividly capturing our attention with his first release, meccano on nute, nplgnn followed up with his first 12inch release on whereiidance, sigma / tau. nplgnns uniquely straight up analogue dancefloor jams (just check acid ufo) have unsurprisingly been snapped up and played by tastemakers including ben ufo, low jack and mumdance. 2015 is bound to be a top year for this guy, and we are excited to present his first release of the year. 1925 ep delivers three slabs of kickdrum-heavy rhythmic excursions, ranging from the detroit-flavoured 1925 ft deep to 90s inspired ravers are still living. true tackle.

ben sims reignites his dormant symbolism imprint for 2015. last active in 2006, symbolism is about music with real mood and will continue to impart sims vision of techno through releases from newcomers and established acts alike. the first release comes from d_func and includes an edit from sims himself.
